Last month, we received a letter from missionaries Youngyeon Cho and Sunhee Jeong.
Despite the ongoing sounds of war that have yet to cease, the faces of children who received Christmas gifts were filled with radiant smiles.
Even mothers who had lost their beloved sons and children who had lost their fathers to the war celebrated Christmas with bright laughter, if only for that day.

The pain of the war in Ukraine continues to this day. Yet, we celebrate the joy of Christmas morning, remembering that our Lord came to this earth for us. As we close the remaining week of 2024, we pray that the love and grace of our Heavenly Father will overflow in Ukraine, Korea, and all nations as we welcome the New Year, 2025.
Last week, we returned from relief work in three rural villages in the eastern region. Our ministry focused on the elderly, orphans, and widows. We also delivered two boxes of chocolates to each child in these villages. The joy on the faces of the children and adults in the photos was truly heartwarming.
During our relief work and moments of thanksgiving prayer for Christmas, there were times when air raid sirens sounded, but we safely completed our mission. It was a time to reaffirm that, in the midst of the hardships of war, the church and Jesus remain the true hope.
Thank you for your prayers and support throughout this past year.
