HAPPINESS
Flying Happiness annually invites a selective group of kids and social workers from Dongmyung Children’s Home to the United States. The group spends anywhere from a week to two weeks sightseeing, visiting major universities, touring the host families’ workplaces, and spending time with YANA family members. The program not only serves to inspire the kids to build a better future, but also gives them a chance to be part of a real family.
Serving as a host family to the group is one of the ways to take part in the program.
The family offers a warm living environment, and the kids and social workers experience being a part of a happy loving family. Host families are required to go through orientation and training before the actual stay begins. Donations, an additional way to contribute, are used to cover the cost of meals, sightseeing, and other travel expenses.
